He opened it up on Christmas Eve, it lasted for minutes, and it will not charge or turn back on. I warned him that we wouldn't be able to download the missions right away because the website wasn't updated, but he was thoroughly disappointed that he couldn't even play with it!

I've already requested an exchange in hopes that a new one will work better. Edited to add 1. This one has actually held another complete charge and seems to be working fine. I bought this spy watch for my 6 yr old son for Christmas. He's at that "age" where when he's not playing video games he pretends to be a spy, ninja, assassin, you name it, so I thought he'd enjoy this.

You can also download "spy missions" from the accompanying website to the watch for your child to enjoy some role playing! The watch comes with a charge but the instructions recommend that you do a full charge before the child plays with it. All awesome for a little boy. My only complaint is that you cannot just hit a button on the watch to do a video, photo or audio recording. Once the action is selected you are taken to the watches home screen where there is a prompt in the left hand corner to record vids, pics or audio.

The action stays on until you change it in the menu. You can also change the settings on video playback to look normal, night vision or security camera. The watch itself is well made, although I wish the watch band wasn't plastic or just a stronger made type plastic. The band is flexible so it was obviously built in mind to be comfortable around little arms, to not pinch the skin or feel stiff against the skin.

Only time will tell how durable it is. The watch itself is very lightweight even though it's not by any stretch a small unit. All in all I like it, so does my son. I'd reccomend it for children ages I didn't feel prior reviews were fair to the toy so that's why I posted my own.

So far, I think the toy is great but parents should comparison shop. So don't buy it at a store unless you have too. I can justify I bought this as a gift for my 7-year-old nephew and he absolutely loved it. Because I'm writing this long after the fact, I don't recall all the details of what this watch could do, but I know it was more technical than I could fathom. He, however, was intrigued and fascinated by it and immediately put it on and started to explore its capabilities. It seemed to be substantially well made, and looked like it could stand up to a lot of wear and tear.

The watch fails to deliver on the marketing hype. Takes pictures, and video and records audio as promised, albeit very low quality, but the watch itself doesn't hold state after rechargeable battery dies about 45 min of normal use , requiring you to reset each time. No missions are pre-loaded, and the web site seems to be just a place holder, so the so called "missions" are unobtainable at the time this review is written. Not very happy with this product, however, my child, who this was a Christmas gift for, is getting enjoyment from it, but still a little disappointed that the missions are not available.

What a let down. The toy has been fun for my son so far.
